The city comes alive for St David’s Day - free music and street entertainment, all centred around the bandstand at Churchill Way and in the shopping centres. Join in the Hwyl!

 

12pm - 3pm Bandstand

A full programme on the bandstand includes Celtic music featuring Ceri Matthews & Sille Ilves, Kilbride Brothers and Hogiau'r Gororau.

1pm - Lord Mayor's St David's Day Parade

1 March sees the formation of the Army's new Regiment for Wales. The Royal Welsh is a combination of the Royal Welsh Fusiliers, Royal Regiment of Wales and Royal Welsh Regiment.

The Royal Welsh will march through the City of Cardiff - St Mary's Street and Kingsway, culminating in the March Past which will be taken by The Lord Mayor of Cardiff on the forecourt of City Hall, followed by a Drumhead Service at Roald Dahl Plass, Cardiff Bay at 3.30pm.
